As a fellow interviewer, I'm very keen to hear more about your interviewing process, especially, what you're doing that cuts back on transcribing time. I've worked out it usually takes me roughly three hours to transcribe and edit a one hour conversation. I do get a lot out of the transcribing process.
Hi Bianca--love your interviews! I was reluctant to change because I love the transcribing process too, especially the subject references a band I don't know or music I'm not familiar with. But technology is improving and making transcribing easier without losing the benefits of spending time with the subject's responses. I'll definitely talk about it soon!
