Feels like I’ve been waiting for this The Cure song since 1999. Super good and great analysis comparing it to the Cocteau Twins. I hadn’t listened to them in twenty years, been deep diving for days.

I am very excited for that new Touché Amoré album to come out. What I’ve heard so far I really dig. I also love their album Lament that they released in 2020 and specifically the track “Limelight.”

That damn Dr. Beat has been lodged firmly in my head for a while now, especially at my silent as hell new job haha

Holly balls I can't stop listening to the Touché Amoré and Cure songs. New to Touché Amoré. Really dig. Also, picked up "The Witch's Door." 100 pages in and really enjoying their stories. Somewhat of a deviation from my usual reading habits, but I guess you are a bit of the Pied Pieper of the written word. Thanks, and have a great rest of the week. Go Dodgers.

Nice! We had a great event last night. Glad you're digging the book. It just keeps getting weirder and weirder...

You knocked me for a loop when I read you mentioned Boris in last week's MftU. I read it, but didn't remember that at all. Went back and saw you snuck it in the paragraph you always have at the bottom. Sorry you were too beat to make it. Barring any falling pianos, I will be catching that tour soon.

I saw the Third Man re-release in their email, and it looks great!

If it's any consolation, they have toured the states three times in about a year's timespan. If they keep up that pace, you'll definitely have another opportunity! Maybe next year it will be an Akuma No Uta tour, that is one of my personal favorites of theirs.
