Still a whole lot of folks who didn’t get that level of recognition. Good job!
Also, meant to ask if you saw the director of Prey is going to have a spiritual sequel called Predator: Badlands in theaters November of next year. Plus, a second Predator project will be released before then and is rumored to be a three part animated anthology set in three different time periods.
"It was Josh’s words that gave me the courage to write Black Van, a book no one asked for and I was convinced no one would want to read. Now that it’s done, I can see its appeal, it’s power, but I couldn’t then. I have Josh to thank for that." - Awesome
What fun to read about Annie and her life now. We all remember her, yes, always with a book at the various readings and literary events. You and she came to the Brickyard Cafe when we shot a trailer for my book, "A Writer's Book of Days"...that was in 2010. I have photos of you both from that day, but I'm not sure how to share them.
Appreciate you taking us along on your journeys. I preordered Mohr's "Saint the Terrifying" after recently reading "Damascus," which I found to be a mix of a Richard Russo world combined with a touch of "Confederacy of Dunces," and a whole lot of originality. Definitely not trying to be reductive in any way. These references are meant to be high praise. I am on my way to reading many of Mohr's books now. I just need to know how much I am going to regret not ordering the book/vinyl combo.
Also, sad to hear of Fernando's passing. Sad to know he will not be broadcasting this World Series. Go Dodgers!
How cool that you recently read Damascus! Yes, very sad to hear about Fernando. I hadn't thought what the absence of his voice will mean for those who listen in Spanish.
Congratulations on winning the award! Always a good feeling being recognized by fellow creatives.
Thanks, Steve! It's more an honorable mention, which is exactly what it feels like: an honor to be mentioned in this anthology.

Thank, Steve! That’s very exciting news!

Thank you, Judy! I remember that day well!
