Hey James. Almost went to the Sardine last weekend as my casa is a mere few blocks away. Lemme know next time you’re in town.

Didn't know those D4 or Toys That Kill songs. Dug 'em! Esp the D4.

Right on! BTW I've been digging listening to Green River, early Melvins and Mudhoney while I read Mud Ride.

Thanks for sharing. Feel free to ignore, but if you were writing a One Punk's Guide to Attending a Book Signing, what would be a couple of the highlights? I hope to catch Mudhoney's Steve Turner tomorrow and this thought was running through my mind. Take care.

1) Buy the book before the show. Do it as soon as you get there to avoid the long signing line. 2) Don't be an ass during the Q&A. It's not about you. No one cares the first time you saw them. Attempts to impress the artist with your fandom will have the opposite effect and turn the rest of the crowd against you. 3.) If you want to talk about fandom do it with your fellow fans before or after the show. You might make a friend. 4.) In the music industry the term for an annoying fan to be avoided at all costs is punisher. Don't be a punisher.

Did Saccharine Trust tour with Black Flag or with The Dead Kennedys? I saw both those bands in 82 and NA opened for both. One show was The Necros and the other was Saccharine Trust. It would seem to make sense that it would have been Black Flag but I don't remember it that way.

I don't know if ST toured with DK but they definitely toured with Black Flag. Earl Liberty had a broken leg and Rob Holzman got his head shaved at the Discord House.

I must have seen them with Black Flag, making them the second punk band I ever saw live.
