I've been thinking about going to see a person in SD who is an aura-reader. Once after some particularly good smokes, one of my friends said she could see my aura--it was all golden with silver sparks flying all around. (ha!) See you at The Book Catapult on Tuesday evening. I'll get a copy of the book there. Oh and PS I didn't know about the Salton Sea Literary Fest. Thanks for taking us there.
I like Flagstaff, but it's always felt out of step with what I imagine Arizona to be (ie hot & flat). It feels like it'd be much more at home in Utah, Colorado, or central Oregon.
With Sedona, there's certainly an energy there. but I was more moved by the physical beauty of the place than anything else. Maybe that's just me.
Enjoyed this week’s installment. Thanks. I hope this passage some day becomes less true: “The sleepy little town is more corporate, less charming. The way all things are.” I know I can do more to help curb this trend.
Also, I accept my reading assignment and look forward to the discussion. Wish you well on your travels and book tour.
The Salton Sea is one of the most fascinating places I've been. I've only ever been on the western shore, in June when the thermostat in the car read 110. I've never been any place that felt so much like death and decay.
