Peaking during the Mary Chain in broad daylight must've been quite a strange experience haha

"Tearing Down the Orange Curtain: How Punk Rock Brought Orange County to the World" is definitely on the reading list now. Thanks for sharing, and speaking of books and Lemonheads songs and my reading list, I am starting to see pre-orders up for Evan Dando's book. Congrats are in order.

Have fun at Punk Rock Bowling. Wish I was on my way there as well...

Wish the LB books signing wasn't so early. That'd be fun and I'm intrigued by the book. Have fun at PRB!

Lollapalooza 2 highlights were Ice Cube and Ministry at dusk. Went to the festival in Minneapolis and was the first time I heard my beloved Cows on the second stage...every other band so-so

Pearl Jam singing "Baba O'Reilly" seemed pretty on point.

I’ll be at PRB, Jim! Maybe we’ll run into each other? Plan on the museum Saturday, Gang of Four at the Festival on Sunday then Flag on Monday. Have a good one at Fingerprints!

Love Sinners, but maybe we agree on the critique of the vampire components of the story. I more thoroughly enjoyed other aspects of the film -- how Coogler portrayed a day in the life of the people in that community, the scenes downtown and in the grocery, the party scenes of people having a good time... all the stuff that came before the vampires showed up.

Also... should I assume you were at the Lollapalooza 2 in NoVa? If so, i was there (I was interning in DC that summer). Epic bill (although the Chilis were past peak for me by then as a guy who had seen them 3 years before at the Fillmore in SF).

Didn't know about the Orange County punk rock book. Goin' in...

I think we do agree. I would love to see how the brothers made their money in Chicago.

I saw Lollapalooza 2 in Anaheim. I'd just moved out to LA from Radford, VA.

Get it!
