Excelente, I am happy to hear about the progress on the book, can’t wait to get to read some excerpts! I’m a not-so-closet Dead fan, but never seen any iteration of them live. I bet if you block out the crowd you might even enjoy it, I once did that at a System of a Down concert (Mars Volta was opening).
I was a huge excel fan in the 1980s . Especially the first demo which was rawer and more basic than the way the songs presented on the album and comps that came later .

Thanks, Andrés. I'm really interested in seeing The Sphere and I'm keeping an open mind about the rest.

Right on, Jack! I'll have to check it out.
Congrats on novel progress. Look forward to reading someday and on reading your report back from Vegas.
Thanks Travis!
Damnit Jim. I can’t stop listening to Excel. Great recommendation.
Ha! De nada.
That song "The Farm" by Alfa and Omega has a lot of quick moves that kept me on my toes. I wish I could find them on Spotify.
So it goes with so much great music made outside of the US and the UK.
That DEVO performance is incredible! Alan Meyers was a motherfucker of a drummer. So good.
I would argue that their robotic, mechanical style requires more physicality than rocking out.
Physicality and brain work. Tight Tight.
Just gotta drop this here, my favorite live video recording of all time.

And yet people still dare to ask: Is Devo really a punk band? Fools!
Thanks for sharing!
That EXCEL song is great. Would have loved that when i was 17.
Right? The comments are hilarious.
