Rocker foos from the SFV and book reviews served with a side of sludge metal
That sounds sick as hell. Shit, it was worth it just for the Christian Death double LP.
Good times. Glad to hear it.
Totally! I'm listening to it now. Brings back all kinds of memories.
I'm jealous of that Only Theatre of Pain double album! I currently only have it on cassette.
At the record store there was a section in front of cassettes and aside from reissues of The Eastside Story all the tapes were by female pop stars: Lana, Olivia, Chappell, etc. It was such a trip!
Huge fan of Eyehategod; glad you had the opportunity to see them live!
Thank you, Kelly! It was a long time coming!
Congrats on the short story publication. I'll have to pick up a copy soon. Take care.
Thank you, Travis -- and right back at you!
ohh.. the Rompehuevos! I was marvelling at some of his SoCal poems in Blue Collar Review a few mths ago. Now I need to add another book to the list.
Yes you do!
Good stuff. Been awhile since I had a fun band-filled week like that
I left complaints about having to park blocks from the venues, people stepping on my feet, etc. You know how it is.
Entire blocks? I would demand to be parasailed right to the front edge of the stage.
It's tough out here on the mean streets of San Diego, Jimmy!
I’ll get you a plastic bubble full of Steely Dan 8 tracks and finger sandwiches
Cucumber?
Love to hear about LA-centric books. Thanks for the recs
De nada -- thanks for reading!
