"Time is a fat circus." Yes! I had to Google it, still have no idea what it means or where it came from. But even money I use that phrase before the day is out.

LOL! Just riffing on the "time is a flat circle" meme from True Detective until it becomes nonsensical!

Hope the writing goes well. Finally tracked down a copy of "Eight Very Bad Nights" and thoroughly enjoyed "The Demo." Well done. And speaking of great writing, baseball, and sleepless nights (go Dodgers), your recommendation of "Wrecking Crew," by John Albert, as your favorite baseball book is an inspiration. Can't wait to read it again, but first handed it off to my brother to read. Such a crazy, wonderful book. Can't believe it's not already optioned for a movie...somebody needs to work on the screenplay...

Also, one last comment, saw an interesting comment in "Mojo Magazine" that Evan Dando has a book coming out later this year...

I think Wrecking Crew has been optioned many, many times but it feels like there are maybe fewer than a dozen people in Hollywood who can actually green light a movie.

ED: That's the rumor!

Did you eat at a British pub in Old Sacramento? For the life of me I don't remember a Brit pub there, but I haven't been there for a hot minute. If you ever get back check out a place called The Backdoor Lounge. Nice and dark and hidden in an alley.

We will be back in June for Annie's graduation. The place is called Bear & Crown and is fairly new? https://www.bearandcrown.com

Oh, I know exactly where that is....it must be kind of new. I worked at the coffee shop across the street when I was 18. :)

Granted it was St. Patrick’s Day and they were recovering from their parade that weekend but it was a little wild down there!
