Why would the Dodgers speak out!? Most of the team was at the White House kissing his ass just last month. It's a fucking atrocity and highly offensive.

Because they owe it to their fans.

I agree Jim, I'm just saying that most of the players seemingly LIKE the guy 😵

I don't know about that. Blake Treinen does but I think most people are like Kiké who seemingly can't be anything but himself.

Dodgers supposed to talk today and maybe aside from Kike, it's too little too late to many Angelenos.

For the optics? Yes, too late. But If they actually help people it's never too late.

Exactly. With the internet's Whiplash reactions it's definitely over for Optics but I suppose we will see what comes of this especially since this morning's controversy with ice vehicles at Dodger Stadium parking lot.

I saw some calls for a protest at Dodger Stadium Saturday. The thing about fans is they remember. If they're going to remember a blown call or dropped ball from decades ago, you better believe they're going to remember the Trump visit, the Nezza fallout, etc.

I dunno, man.

I agree that it's fucked up what is going on in LA. However, I don't think the Dodgers should say shit in the first place. If Magic Johnson or whomever want to really help, they would just help the families that were/are being left behind anonymously. The word would get around, one way or the other. That would be the right thing to do. All day.

The Dodgers "corporation" has too much stake in walking the tightrope of marketing that they can't really risk doing anything outside an MLB League Office mandate (i.e. pink bats or wearing the number 42 for a day etc.). They will never do anything independently outside of Rob's say, and it wouldn't surprise me if that is in their franchise agreement. So, in short, I wouldn't hold my breath on that.

Also: Congrats to your girl!!! Wooohooo!!!!!! :)

Look, I’m born in Brooklyn & brought to Cali before I was 1 in 1963, I’m a dodger to the bone, got a piece of the dugout from ebbets field & I’ve seen some great games at the stadium that stands in Chavez Ravine as a kid & a few as an adult, my most memorable being Fernando’s no hitter in June of 1990 while I listened to the radio of Dave Stewart pitching a no hitter for the A’s, both my favorite baseball teams having no hitter pitched games the same day while I watched & listened…but, I never go to Chavez ravine without thinking about the displaced people that were swept away to build that monstrosity, nobody had to do much to accommodate my move from Brooklyn, a couple hells angels had to do some babysitting while my mom worked & went to Vegas for the weekends, but the Dodgers came to LA & were shitty right out of the gate, so as an organization I wouldn’t waste my paste spitting on them, but as players over the years they have been some of my favorites, the organization is a ruthless corporation, that is the point of sports entertainment, it’s our modern day coliseum experience, I don’t ever think otherwise…would it be nice if they said something about ICE? Idk, even if they did it now it would be too late, just ask the ghosts of the families that lived in Chavez Ravine…
