Glad the writing is going well. And…Radford! I lived in Blackburg for a while, early 90s, as a reporter. Good music scene back then.

I was there (gulp) 1989-1992, and I did know and worked with (and still adore) Beth. She's amazing. We had a good crew of writers at that paper (Roanoke Times) during that era.

That’s exactly when I was at Radford! I was dating a girl whose father was a banker in Roanoke and they had a place at Smith-Mountain Lake. My senior year I was writing a short story that involved palindromes and I took out an ad in the paper asking people to send me their favorites, and they did! Beth Macy, prompted perhaps by my professor, wrote a story about it. TLDR In 1992 Beth Macy wrote about me.
