I knew John Albert through his wife Dee Dee .... didn't realize he was such a big part of the LA music world. RIP.

Definitely one of those hard to classify guys who fit into the fabric of many scenes. A huge loss.

Thanks, Travis! Sometimes it feels like I'm just doing what I always do but with a different view.

Back in 2021 I went on a tear where I read all 14 of Vonnegut’s novels, followed by his short stories, collected essays, and finally the biographies. We are both Hoosiers born on the same day (though 59 years apart), and as he stated in Cat’s Cradle "I don't know what it is about Hoosiers, but wherever you go there is always a Hoosier doing something important there”. When I was in the process of getting my Chilean citizenship, I had to take a trip to Chicago, using my dad’s place in Indy as a jumping-off point. I finished the 14th KV book that weekend and took a trip to the Vonnegut Museum and Library, where the young tour guide whose anecdotes I kept supplementing eventually asked me: “Would you like to…volunteer here?” Lol. Anyways, Kurt was how I first heard about Donoso (and NOT, ironically, being Chilean…) and I had been wanting to tackle OBON ever since. Glad you enjoyed it as well! If you are ever in Indy you should definitely check out the KV museum…there’s not much else to see.
