I kept forgetting to come back to comment on your Stark experience in this one. I have only read Lemons Never Lie (because Brubaker said it was one of his favorites) of the Grofield spin-offs. Love Grofield's motivations as a thief to support his small community theater and as a foil to Parker but felt like it wasn't quite as strong with him as the focus.

As inspired as the Grofield spin-offs may be, I like his appearances in the Stark mysteries the best, especially when we dip into his POV. I forget which one but in the book where he's introduced he hears theme music while he's on a job and I always loved that detail.

That Dodger game last night. Whoa. It hurt my sleep. End of regular season is going to be exciting.

Thanks for all of the book recommendations. Have a great week.

Such a strange ending to the game. The rally was on and that was the second bad at bat by Rojas. But a win tonight or tomorrow puts all the pressure back on the Padres. They celebrated last night like they already won something.

The Witch’s Door sounds really interesting! Westport is very close to me. Gonna try and go to the event at the Mark Twain house, always meant to visit there anyway

Wait? they do readings at the new re-imagined Cliftons? When I worked downtown in the 90s, that old bldg was once a week lunch at least.

Probably not. I'm guessing Ryan and Regina have a relationship with the people who run it.
